Dr. Billy King brings 23 years of experience in education, including 15 years as a teacher and coach and 8 years in administration. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, his Master’s degree from Mississippi College, and his Doctorate from the University of Phoenix.

Dr. King is passionate about serving students and takes pride in helping them succeed regardless of their circumstances. He is committed to fostering a welcoming and supportive environment where every student can achieve their goals.

Outside of his professional role, Dr. King enjoys spending time with his wife, Laura, and their son, Bryce. In his free time, he likes to cook, attend sporting events, and play golf.


Nicole Turner

Mrs. Nicole Turner is a teacher at Leake County Alternative School with twenty years of experience in early childhood education. She earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Child Development Education Technology from Hinds Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Education, a Master’s in Early Childhood Education, and a Specialist Degree in Psychometry from Jackson State University.

Mrs. Turner is dedicated to her students’ academic success and strives to maximize their learning experience. She is married and the proud mother of three children and grandmother of five. Her guiding motto is, “In order to do something different, you have to do something you’ve never done before.”

Samantha Wilson, known to her students as Miss Sam, is a third year teacher with the Leake County School District. She has a Master’s degree in Teaching at Mississippi State University. She previously earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Mississippi State University before deciding to pursue a career in education. She is eager to continue her teaching journey and looks forward to the opportunities and experiences this school year will bring for both herself and her students.
