I bring over 28 years of experience in education to Leake County School District. I served as a special education teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent, and independent contractor for the Mississippi Department of Education. I am no stranger to the district, as one who has served as an Interim Superintendent for Leake County School District. I am committed to student success and fostering collaboration across schools and the community. In this interim role, I will be guiding the district with stability, vision, and a focus on ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive. I am excited to be back in the district with a "Reset" focus.

I am excited to serve as Assistant Superintendent for the Leake County School District. I've been in education for over 25 years and I've served in various roles as math teacher, interventionist, assistant principal, principal, Curriculum Director, and Assistant Superintendent. Some of my roles involved fostering collaboration with principals, assisting in guiding strategic initiatives that improve student achievement, and balancing innovation and accountability. I am excited to work in a close- niche community where relationship, trust, and great support systems are at the heart of the Leake County School District. I believe we are going to do some great things this year in the district with the help of our awesome Superintendent, district leaders, principals, teachers, and support staff. Paul Bamrick-Santoyo, writer of many educational leadership books, stated "Consistent expectations across classrooms are non-negotiable: "Measuring outcomes is only useful if you know what the targets should be". I am looking forward to the great outcomes this school year as we "Reset".
