    Leake Central High Boys Soccer team is making history in their second year of establishing a soccer team. The team finished District 4A Co-Champions and currently has advanced to the 3rd round of playoffs. The team is coached by Ashley Richardson.

    On Wednesday, Demar Gardner signed a football scholarship with Hinds Community College to further his education and football career. 


    Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated-Omega Sigma Zeta Chapter and Jackson State Alumni Chapter-Leake County would like to thank Dr. Nelson and Mr. McDonald for assisting with the delivery of toys to the Leake County Child Protection Service Office in Carthage, MS on Monday, December 18, 2023.

    Kudos to Ms. Bell-Luckett, LCSD Parent & Community Engagement Specialist! She did an amazing job presenting at the Mississippi Department of Education Equity Conference. Her presentation was related to the awareness of biases within the school setting. She represented the school district well. Dr. F. Cocroft, Office of Federal Programs Director and Mrs. Easley, LCoE Assistant Principal also attended the conference.

    Leake County Elementary’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held on May, 08, 2023. Special thanks to Foundry 10 and their representatives Meredith Sheidun and Marc Pacampara for donating over $500,000 that included two new playgrounds, classroom furniture/supplies and other equipment. Also, thank you to Pelican Playground for your service.


    Dr. Nelson served lunch to the children of Leake County Elementary.
